What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to keep. On a later visit the browser hands it back, so the site can recognise the same device and remember a setting. Related technologies — local storage, session storage and the browser's service worker registry — do much the same job and are covered by this notice as well.
Cookies set by this domain are called first-party. Cookies set by another domain whose content or service appears on the page are third-party.

Until you make a choice in the banner, only the strictly necessary category is active. Declining leaves analytics and advertising storage unset, and the site remains fully readable.

Web push and OneSignal
If you submit the dispatch form and accept your browser's notification prompt, OneSignal, Inc. — acting as our processor — stores a push subscription identifier for that browser together with the tags we attach: the site domain, your name and telephone number if you supplied them, and the source label "form". Your email address is stored alongside so that the same notice can be delivered by mail.
This data is used only to send you notices about new or corrected entries in the index. It is never sold, rented or used for any other campaign. The service worker that receives the messages, OneSignalSDKWorker.js, is served from the root of this domain and performs no tracking of its own. The full account is in the privacy notice.

Changing or withdrawing your consent
- The banner choice. It is kept in your browser's local storage. Clear this site's data and reload the page: the banner returns and you can answer differently.
- Notifications. Open the padlock menu beside the address bar, find "Notifications" and set it back to "Ask" or "Block". Delivery stops at once.
- The dispatch by email. Use the unsubscribe link in any message, or write to [email protected] and we will remove you and instruct our processor to erase the record.

Turning cookies off in your browser
Every current browser lets you block or delete cookies for a single site or for all sites. The setting usually sits under Privacy or Site settings:

- Firefox — Settings, Privacy & Security, Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari — Settings, Privacy, Manage Website Data.
- Edge — Settings, Cookies and site permissions.
Blocking everything is your right, and this site stays readable if you do. Blocking the strictly necessary category may mean the cookie banner reappears on every visit, because the record of your choice is exactly what it stores.

Changes and questions
